The Lost ‘My Favourite Posts’ Plugin

The Lost ‘My Favourite Posts’ Plugin

So I used a theme that a client chose and came to me to customise for them.   One of the plug ins required was called ‘My Favourite Posts’, by a designer called Kriesi.

Looking at his website (http://www.kriesi.at/), he lists his plugins for Wordpress as well as his themes (which are pretty, clean themes).

Unfortunately, his plugin download doesn’t work, so for all of you, I have a copy which is available for download from link below.

I must state that I did not write this plugin, nor do I take any credit in it’s production.  I just have a copy available and want to spread this great script out as it deserves.

  1. thank phil. a have a question: the plugin works with wordpress 3.0?

  2. Yes. I have it working on a web site using WP 3.0.

  3. Thanks, i was looking for it…

  4. No problem. Glad I could help. =]

  5. Thanks so much for this! Gosh I have searched the whole internet for this plugin.

  6. Glad you found what you were looking for Seye.

  7. I get this error when i install the plugin, any ideas what might be causing this?

Thanks in advance, this plugin is very hard to find.

  8. I don’t see the error, maybe try inserting it between code tags.

  9. Can you post a link to the site running this plugin? I’d like to see it in action. Can someone keep favorite posts anonymously or do they have to be an author? Thanks!

  10. This plugin allows registered members to save their favourite posts. Although I used it briefly on a site, I modified the theme to the point where I didn’t need it anymore.

It could also be used as a ‘wishlist’ in a wordpress e-commerce website. The users selected posts are kept private to them.

  11. How is this even added, do you wrap it around <php tags?

Everything I have tried dosent work on WP 3.0 can get as far as add to favorite link but when clicked nothing is saved and nothing shows in the widget as being an favorite.

    Thanks,
    Mike

  12. I’ve got this running on the database entries at my website. Users can add comicbooks to their collection and display the books on their profile:

That’s in case anyone wants to see it in action.

What I’m wondering if anyone knows how to limit its display by post TYPE.

  13. Thank You!

  14. hey thanks a lot. Have a client’s theme that requires this plugin and couldn’t find it anywhere.
